I had a really bad experience with Neurology (Dr Kimber).
Personally the care my father received was fine but the other patientswere treated less than satisfactory with a lack of water, clean sheets etc. The nurses of the ward didn't seem to be able to cope with the stress/nature of the job and therefore didn't treat the patient with the care and sympathy they required, so much so, that my sister stepped in to help one gentlemen on several occasions within our hour visit.
Even since, this experience I have been reluctant to go back!
A&E admissions are under some pressure. An early evening (Friday) admission was not ideal timing. The patient was dealt with reasonably efficiently, but processing times were long with insufficient information about what was happening. No chairs (yes really!) for people accompanying patients was inexcusable (the patient was four hours on a trolley) but a proffered cup of tea was welcome!
Treated extremely well from start to finish of my surgery.
Nothing to complain about I was treated exceeding well from start to finish of my surgery
The staff were kept so busy that it was difficult to get their attention when you really needed it.
The staff in the Xray department were very kind and caring. They treated me with respect and dignity, explaining everything that was going on. They were quick to help me with anything I needed & any questions I had.
I was seen at the Chipstead Clinic at East Surrey Hospital. I found it to be clean, friendly and efficient.
